Phu Yen Dien Cape: Where Vietnam’s first sunrise can be seen
You should set foot in Mui Dien if you want to learn about Phu Yen. People come to this place because it looks pristine and stunning.
Phu Yen Dien Cape is the easternmost point of Vietnam. It is also one of the few places where the sun rises the earliest.
Where is Phu Yen Dien Cape?
Phu Yen Dien Cape, also called Dai Lanh Cape, is in the village of Phuoc Tan, in the commune of Hoa Tam, Dong Hoa town, Phu Yen province.
This place is about 35 km south of the city center in Phu Yen province, near the Vung Ro harbor and under the Ca pass range, one of the most beautiful roads in Vietnam.
After many discussions, Phu Yen Dien Cape is now the second-furthest point to the east, after Doi Cape in Van Ninh, Khanh Hoa.
It is one of the first places in mainland Vietnam to see the sun rise.
History of Phu Yen Dien Cape
Phu Yen Dien Cape was founded by a French general named Varella. On old maps, the area was called Cap Varella.
There is a story that says Dai Lanh Cape was formed by a giant bird that flew down from the north and turned into a cape that sticks out into the water.
In 1836, King Minh Mang permitted the Dai Lanh cape to be shown on nine Cuu Dinh boats inside the Hue Imperial Citadel.
This is one of Vietnam’s tourist spots. In 2008, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism declared it a National Landscape Monument.
How to get to Phu Yen Dien Cape
From the city of Tuy Hoa, there are usually two ways to get to Mui Dien. First, you drive on Highway 1 until you reach Ca Pass. Then, you turn right and head toward Vung Ro Bay.
Second, you choose a straight road along the beach of Phuoc Tan-Bai Nga. This road is not only easy and safe to travel, but it also leads to Dien cape.
When leaving Nha Trang, you must take the Ca pass road.
At the end of the road, there is a sign for Dai Lanh cape (Dien cape), where they will turn, go through Vung Ro bay, and visit the unnumbered ship relic.

Bai Mon is in the village of Dong Be, in the commune of Hoa Tam, in the district of Dong Hoa, in the province of Phu Yen, right at the foot of the Mui Dien lighthouse.
Bai Mon is only about 500 meters long and has no people living on it. This means that it almost keeps its wild feel.

The Suoi Mo eco-tourism area is in Quy Nhon city, area 8, Bui Thi Xuan ward, under Cu Mong Pass.
The Suoi Mo waterfall system has four waterfalls and five lakes, each of which is beautiful.
