Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the train street used to be closed, then it came back and brought in more tourists than ever before.

However, the Vietnam Railway Authority has told all the cafes, restaurants, etc. here to close.

For safety, there are bars and signs on Tran Phu, Dien Bien Phu, and Phung Hung streets telling people not to go to the train street to eat, take photos, or visit.
